Several years ago I noted there we
so many "groups" of skydivers, Muff Divers,
Rodriquez Brothers, Pelt-heads, Pink Mafia, etc., It was
apparent that most skydivers wanted to be in some skydiving
fraternity. Well what about those who jump only one time?
Might they desire to a part of a special community too?
I surmised they did, and organized the "SteveOrino
club" How do you join? It is easy, jump with me.
Click the logo to see those who have jumped with me
through the
years.
I often
take a handcam on my tandem jumps. These are some "grabs"
from the video. You gotta love the different and unusual
facial expressions
I hold the most coveted Instructor rating in the skydiving
community, Accelerated Freefall Instructor. I'm also a USPA Tandem
Instructor, IAD (Instructor Assisted Deployment) Instructor,
USPA Coach, and I'm a USPA PRO (demonstration) Jumper.
I have an expert License (D-26782) and over
1825+ jumps. I have earned my Gold Wings (1000 jumps) and 12 hour
Freefall badge.
I have over 1000 jumps with a camera and I was the freefall videographer for ABC's Extreme Home Makeover television show,
when a room was designed by Tanya McQueen, with a skydiving theme. The USPA has published many of my photos for their website and their
magazine, PARACHUTIST.
I have also been featured in SKYDIVING
magazine.
I work at
Skydive Tulsa (located
in nearby Haskel, OK) as a Tandem Instructor, AFF Instructor, IAD
Instructor, USPA coach, and USPA Demonstration Jumper (PRO).
This DZ is very laid back and full of friendly
people. What a great place to experience your first skydive!
Want to jump out of a perfectly good
airplane? Give the DZO, Dale, a call at 918-482-5867. Tell him SteveOrino
sent you!
I've taken
10,000 stills of skydivers in the air and had the privilege of
some very good freefall videographers capture my mug in
the air as well. Click the photo to the left to go to various
stills from the past few years. Listed below are some cool
links.
